Mt Baldy provides visitors with the most magnificent view of the terrain. Mt Baldy Wilderness has turned out to be the most sought-after destination among many day hikers in the world. The thinness of the mountain makes it one of the most popular hiking areas in the state of Arizona. A nonexistent volcano rising to 11,403 feet, Mount Baldy stands inside the White Mountain Apache Reservation. The Wilderness is located on the eastern slope of the mountain. Most forest parts of the mountain are covered by mixed conifers with spruce and fir in the higher elevations and ponderosa pine in the lower elevations.

Large fields break open the forest, carpeted with wildflowers, such as columbine, Indian paintbrush, iris, penstemon, and lupine in summer. Until the winter season cloaks the area will be covered in snow, and tourists can see deer and elk in huge numbers. They can also enjoy witnessing some smaller animals as well as bigger animals, such as mountain lions, beavers, coyotes, black bears, and bobcats.  Tourists can see falcons, eagles, and hawks circling under the sun.

Thunderstorms and lightning are frequent in the Mt Baldy Wilderness. The Wilderness. It's crisscrossed by two major trails, such as the West Baldy Trail and the East Baldy Trail.
